Remember how many Democrats demanded the release of President Donald Trump’s tax returns, hoping to find evidence that he was somehow working with Russia and Vladimir Putin?
However, what’s more, crucial is what Trump’s tax returns omitted: any unethical ties to Russia, according to Brad Polumbo of BASEDPolitics. Democrats have long claimed that Trump refused to release his tax returns because doing so would reveal that Putin had some dirt on him.
Let’s take Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer as an illustration. In 2018, Schumer stated, “The president has refused to release his tax returns, but these bizarre actions that he has taken, which seem so to indicate that President Putin has something over President Trump, something personal, and it may be financial.” We must see tax returns.
