The Chinese spy balloon scandal has confirmed that Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden should step down from their positions, according to Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., a House Armed Services Committee member.
A U.S. fighter jet shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon off the coast of the lawmaker’s home state of South Carolina earlier today, prompting Wilson’s demands that Biden and Harris step down.
Over the course of the previous seven days, the unmanned surveillance aircraft had flown from Alaska, via Canada, into the United States continental territory, and from Idaho to the East Coast.
Wilson stated in a tweet that President Biden and Vice President Harris should resign because of the “catastrophic Chinese Spy Balloon extravaganza,” which he claimed obviously endangered American families from Alaska to his hamlet in South Carolina.
Due to the surrender and disastrous departure from Afghanistan, which gave terrorists a safe haven to target American families, my request for their resignation was still valid in August 2021.

“It was not political in 2021, when Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the then-succeeding President, would have been a Democrat, or today in 2023, when Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a Republican, would have taken office.
The political party in power has no bearing on American families since talent, not political affiliation, should be the primary criterion for a leader. Unfortunately, Biden and Harris fall short of this standard “said the lawmaker from South Carolina.
Wilson went on to say that Biden and Harris’ “open border policies,” which have undermined national security, are still another reason they should step down.
He stated, “When the domestic attack happens, Biden and Harris will not be able to respond effectively. To safeguard American families, trustworthy leadership is essential.
Along with Wilson, a number of Republican members have criticized the Biden administration recently and after the balloon was shot down on Saturday, calling the president’s response feeble.
“Why was it permitted to spread all the way throughout the nation for so many days? You see, one of the largest things any government can do is to protect its citizens. It is a fundamental duty of the government “another South Carolina Republican, Rep. Russell Fry.
Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., the senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said that it was obvious that the customary procedure for protecting American airspace had been disregarded.
“If press accounts are accurate, the Biden Administration intended to keep the American people in the dark about this tragedy from the beginning. I’m determined to quickly obtain the clarifications that the White House owes to Congress and the American people regarding this debacle.”

Biden told reporters that he had instructed the Pentagon to bring the balloon down “as soon as feasible” on Wednesday after it was shot down on Saturday. They had postponed because they were concerned that if the balloon’s debris fell close to a populated area, it may do significant harm.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated in a statement that “after rigorous consideration, U.S. military leaders had assessed that downing the balloon while above land constituted an unreasonable risk to people across a large region due to the size and altitude of the balloon and its surveillance payload.”
The Department of Defense created options to deflate the balloon over our territorial seas safely in compliance with the President’s directives, attentively monitoring its course and intelligence-gathering activities.
