Phnom Penh is known for its heavy traffic along its main streets, but since multiple flyovers and underpasses were built and made operational, the city has experienced less congestion and improved traffic flow.
In the west of Phnom Penh, close to the international airport, lies the recently opened Choam Chao, one of the principal flyovers and underpasses.
The Choam Chao flyover, according to a traffic police officer stationed nearby, has been instrumental in reducing traffic congestion in the neighborhood, which was previously congested with cars during rush hours.
