The number of officially reported new COVID cases for today (as determined by PCR tests) was 4, bringing the overall COVID case count to 138,595 cases.
There have now been 3,056 direct COVID-19 deaths in Cambodia as of the country’s announcement of 0 fresh deaths.
The novel variation was reported in 4 new community cases and 0 new imported cases in the Kingdom.
Seventeen recoveries were noted.
PCR tests have identified 60 current COVID cases in The Kingdom.
Although COVID cases are still occurring, it appears from statistics that they are at considerably lower levels than they were previously (please note results may be up to 2 days behind).
It is significant to highlight that according to the Ministry of Health, the daily COVID data do not accurately reflect the number of COVID cases currently in Cambodia.
According to the Health Ministry, daily reports on Covid-19 infection cases only include people who come in for testing or migrant workers crossing the border from Thailand who is screened. They do not reflect the true number of cases. This explains why there aren’t many reported cases per day.
