France, Germany, Italy and other European countries suspend AstraZeneca vaccine despite the World Health Organization and the European Medicines Agency warning against suspending vaccinations, major European countries have temporarily suspended the Covid 19 vaccine produced by AstraZeneca-Oxford, reporting a small number have been linked to blood clots in individuals who have been vaccinated.

Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia and Cyprus announced their moratorium on vaccinations on Monday after Iceland and the Netherlands announced their moratorium after Norway identified four cases blood clots and hemorrhages were reported in adults who received the vaccine, one of whom died from an unexpected brain hemorrhages.
“Safety is a top priority and we are working with national health authorities and European officials and look forward to the assessment,” the vaccine maker said in a statement on Monday.
