Elise Stefanik, a Republican from New York, was one of several important individuals appointed on Tuesday to the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
Stefanik, the third-ranking House Republican, was appointed to the role by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to assist in rooting out fraud and abuse in all parts of the entrenched federal bureaucracy.
According to a press statement from Stefanik, “I am happy to serve on this vital Select Committee that will hold the entire federal government accountable for its long history of using political weaponization against the American people, including the IRS, HHS, NIH, and many other agencies.”
Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Thomas Massie (R-KY), Chip Roy (R-TX), and Darrell Issa are just a few of the notable members of the high-profile subcommittee (R-CA).
Stefanik criticized the DOJ and FBI for using the Biden administration as a weapon against Republicans, who have been the targets of government raids and are being stifled by big media and big tech.
“The corrupt DOJ and FBI fully weaponized against the political opponents of the Biden Administration, conducting an unprecedented raid on President Trump’s home, illegally paying Twitter to censor stories for political benefit, and continuing to provide cover for the Biden Crime Family,” she claimed.

The House authorized the panel in early January by a vote of 221 to 211, with all Democrats voting against it. Jordan, the Judiciary Committee’s chair, will preside over the committee.
Additionally, Democrats have the opportunity to suggest candidates for the panel. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), who now serves as the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, will automatically be given a seat under the resolution that was approved by the House.
