An individual who harassed a woman for a year has been detained after he stabbed her.
The murder occurred in Svay Chrum village, Bek Chan commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province, on December 30, 2022, at 7:20 a.m. in the victim’s room.
The defendant has allegedly been “begging the victim for love” for nearly a year but has consistently been turned down, according to the police.
The defendant retraced his steps after the victim about four days prior to the occurrence.
The suspect approached the victim and the victim attempted to flee, but the suspect pulled a knife and fatally stabbed the victim.
The defendant entered the victim’s room on the day of the occurrence, pulled out a sharp knife, and stabbed her, leaving her with numerous wounds.
Him Sopha, a female victim 36 years old from Svay Chrum village, Bek Chan commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province, has been identified.
The suspect then tried to hang himself, but the noose slipped, causing him to hit his head instead.
Meas Sovann, a male motorbike taxi driver from Prey Roka Village, Chok Chheu Neang Commune, Ang Snoul District, Kandal Province, has been identified by police as being 36 years old and of Caucasian descent (Detained).
