Authorities have detained 29 Poipet drug users.
The Ministry of Interior reports that at 4:30 pm on December 28, 2022, in the noodle store in O’Chrov hamlet, Sangkat Ochrov, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province, 29 men, and women were detained. This occurred on Saturday, December 9, 2022.
According to Major General Sithi Loh’s directive, the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Thin Sindeth, the Deputy Commissioner for Anti-Drug Crimes, and the Poipet City Police Inspectorate conducted the raid under the direction of the Anti-Drug Bureau.
Plastic bags, a few pieces of smoking equipment, 7.34 grams of white powder believed to be narcotics, and 13 cell phones were all seized by police.
The 44-year-old owner of the noodle shop, Tao Panha Rong, is the one who offered the setting for the illicit use of drugs, said the Deputy Commissioner.
